Wrong Choice?!

Did I make the wrong choice of accepting the offer letter offered by Flinders University? Why is that you are making such a fuss? Do you think I would want to go overseas if Singapore's universities have the course? Also, why did u say I have abandoned the chinese culture that was instilled in me? May I ask, who was the one who travelled abroad during our family gatherings? Not me! Who was the one not around when it is dong zhi? Not me!How then, can you say that I have erased the culture that has been instilled in me since young? Also, I wanted to stay in Singapore until the first 15 days of the Lunar New Year is over. I know no amount of family gatherings that I have attended can be counted as being fillial. But then, who is to judge as being fillial?

You were the one who encouraged me to "just try and apply". Now, you blame me for accepting the offer letter. Also, you had a hand in my education. You were the one who told me to accept when he was against it. You were the one who paid for it. Yes, I want to further my studies if I had the opportunity. Here's my opportunity, let me fulfill it.

Singapore has grown to become a first world country, with our country now prospering. How can you compare then and now? Also, the value of the money that we are using now has grown. Studying overseas will allow your child to grow independently as well as being open-minded. You have to accept that. There is nothing more for me to say.
