Nobody trips over mountains. It is the small pebble that causes you to stumble. Pass all the pebbles in your path and you will find you have crossed the mountain. ~Author Unknown
In a time as stressful as Clinical placement, the last thing on your mind is having the nagging feeling to quit! Week 3 (technically week 4) of Clinical placement has started and I feel that I am not performing up to standard. Seriously, I am not sure whether I will even pass Stage 1's assessment. However, maintaining a positive spirit does help one to push on and persevere with each week.
I am not sure whether I want to be a clinical dietitian upon graduation. However, if this part of the Lord's plan for me, I will hang in there. Soph, I love the "Don't Quit" poster that you gave me. It often reminds me not to quit when I am feeling low and unassured.
Don't Quit (Author unknown)
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill.
When funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down abit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learn.
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace is slow,
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the cloud of doubt.
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
Its when things go wrong that you must NOT QUIT!
Ps: My apologies if my recent entries have been about how clinical placement has been going for me and the lack of pics.
