Friends...

I don't know what has overcome me today!!!I just sat down and decided to read the autograph books that I have had since primary school. Looking back at all those memories and the rather cliche poems like:

"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Sugar is sweet,
But not as sweet as you!"

Suddenly, I started to ponder on the friendships that I have forged throughout my awakening moment on Earth.

"It is by chance that we met and by choice we became friends...
Friendship is such a strange thing.
We find ourselves telling each other the deepest details of our lives,
things we don't even share with our families who raised us...
But what is a friend?
Is it a confidant, a lover, a fellow email junkie, some1 with a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear...
A friend is all of these things and more. No matter where we met, I call you friend.
A word so small and yet so large in feeling. A word filled with emotion.

It is true great things come in small packages.
Once the package of friendship has been opened, it can never be closed.
It is a constant book always written, waiting to be read and enjoyed.
We may have our disagreements, we may argue, show concern for one another.
Friendship is a unique bond that lasts through it all....

A part of me is put into my friends...
some of it is my humor, some my listening ear, some is the real life experiences,
some it is my romanticism, but with it all, it is friendship.
Friendships forged are a construct stronger than steel built as a foundation
necessary for life and necessary for love.
Friends...you and me...
you brought another friend. and then there were 3...we started our group...
Our circle of friends and like this circle,
There is no beginning or end..."
Is it becos I'm about to go to Australia that I suddenly felt this way? Is it becos Tammy was right in saying that I am not able to put down everything and leave for Australia? Was she right in saying that I will be homesick?Even I myself, do not have the answers to these questions. But I can tell you 1 thing, I'm gald that the Lord has given me the opportunity to be accepted into Flinders University, to pursue a Bachelor in Nutrition & Dietetics. Right now, I can only pray and hope that I will be awarded a scholarship! Till then, I'll treasure each friendship that has been forged and to my friends, "Lets Keep In Touch!!!"
