Backstabbing, cutting other people's sales, pushing the blame, pointing fingers, saying," Not ME!!!" Haiz...All these are so common when I am on the selling floor. Yes, we need to do this in order to survive, meet sales quotas etc etc. Whose not doing all these in the working world? But, hello! whatever happened to our sense of righteousness? Do we just chuck them to 1 side in order to make the cut? I guess, that is the real working world. Yes, I have working experiences and with each different working stint, I have lessons that I took home. I guess, I am not cut out for the retail line. Or maybe, with experience,I MAY 1 day be like that too...Ok, enough about my rantings...I have some gossips to share.Haha, if these can be classified as gossips.
1) Most of the promoters are boycotting the brand, CL. I don't know but, recently, I am begining to realise that they play dirty all the time. [Yes, people do that, who don't right?] Anyway, there was this instance when promoter M told me that the customer wanted the items and put at the counter. As it was a weekend, there were many customers paying at the counter. When the counter was cleared of customers, someone returned the merchandise that the customer wanted. During the last 5min when the store was about to be closed for the day, the customer returned to make the purchase. However, the merchandise were missing. So, the customer approached M and asked abt his merchandise. M just said,"I told her (which was me) I put it at the counter and that you (the customer) wanted it." I immediately apologised to the customer and told him that I was busy with the cashiering and did not notice that his merchandise had been returned. I offered to help look for his merchandise and spent about 30mins after closing time with the customer while M went back. The funny thing is, the other promoters who were present at the counter when the customer wanted to make the purchase were there and they felt angry that M had pushed the blame to me and didn't even offer to help look for the size since M was the 1 serving the customer.
2) Another promoter from the same brand,Turtle, seems interested in me. He has been pestering me recently and I am quite disgusted with his actions. There was once when I forwarded him a sms and he asked what I was doing.This is what was being exchanged:
Turtle: So, what are u doing now?
Me: Getting ready to sleep liao.
Turtle: Oh ok, pls don't dream of me tonite if not I will not be able to sleep.
Another instance when Turtle asked me to buy red bull
I: Can u help me buy a can of red bull on ur way back?
Me: Can...No prob..
I: Oh u are so sweet...Thank you sweet sweet..
DISGUSTING!!!
What's more, he told me to becareful of E, a promoter from TS, because he said he very se (as in se lang, wolf in chinese). I told E this and he said I should be more careful of Turtle.
Anyway, I'll be leaving Robinsons soon..Can't wait for sunday to come...haha..
