Disappointment!

How many of us have ever felt disappointed in yourself? I certainly have, many a times, trying to live up to my expectations as well as others. I am thankful that my parents did not place their great hopes in me. (My older and younger sis is definitely smarter & more hardworking!) Anyway, disappointment comes in many forms and recently, I have been receiving them. I hate them!!I shook my fist at the world around me, I pouted in despair, I cried, "God, this is NOT fair!!". What things are fair and square in this world? NOTHING! Sometimes, I wonder if I made the correct move in pursuing a degree. I feel that I am not up to it and cannot meet my expectations.

I am sure, that all of you have broken dreams, broken wings trying to ride the storm. Are we quick to blame God for evrything that happened in our life that has gone wrong?
"It is sad not to get what you hoped for. But wishes that come true are like eating fruit from the tree of life. Proverbs 13:12" This verse reminds me of God's love lifting me up and the lotion that soothes our wounds of dashed hopes. His words rminds us that His timing is always PERFECT.

"We also have joy with our troubles, because we know that these troubles produce patience. And patience produces character, and character produces hope. And this hope will never disappoint us, because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts. He gave us his love through the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to us. Romans 5:3-5". I hope that this HOPE that the Lord assures us will be your HOPE as well. Remember, the God that we serve is the God of Hope! Don't ever lose that hope!:)

Dear Lord, thank You for revealing Yourself to us in Your Word. Thank You for laying out practical principles for us to live by. Thank you for reminding us of Your unwavering love for us. Forgive us when we sin by grumbling, and when we get caught up in our own timing, our own plans and forget that Your plan and Your timing are always perfect. We praise You for being a patient God who loves us unconditionally. As we sit for the examinations, please be with us and watch over us Lord. So that whatever grades we score, we'll glorify Your name. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
