Sophie and I made arrangements to make it a point to meet whenever we have the time. Also, when I was working, my off days were on Wednesdays and it conincides with her lessons ending early. Ok, we met yesterday(8/2) in hope of covering the places that we intend to go. Our first stop was to go to Raffles Place. I wanted to go to Recruit Express to submit my timesheet to collect my pay, thank my consultant for helping me find the job and for answering my endless questions and Sophie wanted to go to Raffles Exchange and Southhaven at Caltex House. So, we started out on the outing. After scouring around Raffles Place, we decided to make our way down to Fish & Co at Glass House. However, things did not go according to plan.
I received a phonecall from my mum to travel to the branch office of NTUC Income in Woodlands to sign some forms with regards to my loan. So, Sophie and I travelled from Raffles Place to Woodlands. The train ride was about 45mins. During the journey,Sophie kept harping that her butt had rotted away. I felt so guilty, making her travel with me all the way to Woodlands. Ok, once I was done with the stuff at NTUC Income, we took a cab down to Wheelock Place to have lunch at Fish & Co. at 3pm. Yes, lunch at 3pm. We gobbled down our lunch and started on our shopping. First stop:Topshop. Then, down to NAC(Ngee Ann City) and stopped at some shops in NAC. While we were in Taka, we stopped at the kids level for some time as both our keys caught sight of the cookie monster and elmo soft toy. They were going at $29.90 at 30". We played around with the cookie monster as I toyed the idea of buying one to bring over to Adelaide. It felt cuddly, nice to hug as its big. My final decision: Not to buy as I have too many soft toys.(As I'm writting this entry, I still thinking of the cookie monster. Maybe, will go back and see if they still selling when I'm in Orchard again).
Then, we made our way to Paragon to find a present for Clayton, Sophie's boyfriend. Ok, I shall not divulge much just in case he reads this entry, only that we spent a long time in the store trying to choose the colour and seeking second opinions! I sure hope Clayton will like the prezzie that Sophie bought!
After Sophie paid for the present, we made our way down towards to PS. We stopped at Orchard OG to look for the 4th series of the birthday bear. We sat down and started searching. After we scour finish the entire shelf, I bought 3 birthdays with my birthday as well as for my 2 sisters. By the time we got to SPotlight at PS, it was already 6.30pm.Ok, spent some time choosing the colours of fabric paint for Sophie. When she made the payment, we headed down to Carrefour to purchase some breakfast for my family for the following morning. I decided to buy a loaf of wholemeal bread as I detest eating plain, white bread! Sophie gave me the disgusted face when I picked up the loaf of wholemeal bread..Haha..
Ok, at the end of our outing, I felt exhausted, phyiscally and mentally. I look forward to our next outing, Sophie!
