Goodbye..

Goodbye - A word used often and can be used in different events. What does goodbye mean? As defined by the dictionary, goodbye is a word used to express an acknolwedgement of parting. As quoted by Richard Bach, "Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before we can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends."

As I attended the last ASc meeting for the AY04/05 on monday (9th may 05),I was filled with emotions. Although the attendance was quite bad with the AFSN yr 3s out on SIP, the ChemE yr 3s out for training, people working, overseas etc, we have been together for almost a year, braving all the "storms". Yes,we were not bonded together as a club when we first started. There were too many ideals, too many opinions etc. However, as we come to the end of our "term/office",I just can't bear to leave you guys. Its has been a GGRREEAATT year despite the various hiccups and the not-so smooth execution of events. But, HEY!! Nobody's perfect and we learn from mistakes right? As I bade my farewells to Emily,Joanne & Sheewee after we completed the finance forms for my event, I cannot describe the feeling that I felt. It felt like I couldn't bear to leave them, or rather, ASc.

This 1 year certainly thought me alot about leadership, budgetting, people management etc and not forgetting the many friendships that I have forged in ASc. Yes!!! As my msn nickname says,"I will miss you peeps in ASc!" To Joanne, for being there as a club president, bringing the club to a whole new level, trying hard to bond everybody together and being involved in each and every event. What more can we ask for? Roy, for being the Vice-President, rather tough 1, with your muscles and all...Pooi Leng, "Ah Pui" for being the secretary..Shee Wee, for writting those great minutes while Pooi Leng was on SIP,for bring laughter to the club, and for being there for me. Did I forget to mention that you make a good punching bag though I know you detest it!!! Emily, for being a GGRREEAATT treasurer! I must say, you make me feel so lazy, but nonetheless, you made sure that our finances are in order. What more can I complain? Jingkai, for his muscles and cash as QM..Alan, for being the asst QM and forever volunteering his services, will remember you as WT's "husband", Fadhli & Jeremy, welfare head & asst respectively, kudos to ALL your efforts for remembering our birthdays!!!Thanks for the lovely cakes!!! Eugene, will remember you as the magician..Qian Hui, really regret not knowing you earlier, you have so much to give in terms of your creative juices..Yan Ming, for bringing the club together. You have alot of ideas and have taught me alot...Thanks for the many advices. Woan Ting, I've always enjoyed your company since we joined the club as sub-coms..Talking abt grades, further studies, being firm, teasing you about being Alan's "wife"..Shuyi, for being the shy girl, hey! Have more confidence!!

As the saying goes, behind every successful husband is the supporting wife. Without the sub-coms, we, as main coms would have been able to execute each project successfully. Si Yuen, for always spelling your name wrongly, "Remember to buy vegetarian food!"..Hui Lin, a responsible gal, hot, smarty-pants, lots of creative juices..Charlene & Augustina, for being the twins, I had problems differentiating you guys and took alot of effort!! Audrey & Hui Jing, for the effervescent personality and the never-ending encouragements..David, for all the beautiful pics and the endless suggestions that you have..Grace, for always being so blur!!!My goodness!!Jeffrey, you have "grown" alot since oltc..Zhenling, for helping out for the events, neat & organised freak..Woah!!You are better than me..Azuan & Hafiz, spicing things up and for my endless quest for textbks!! Bibi, for laughing at every sentences..Deborah, for being known as "bouncy".You have good leadership quality. Not forgetting the others, I regret not getting to know you guys better...Maybelline, lynn, derek, huat chew, jesslyn,venice,fiona...
