Lucky me

I did not realise how fortunate I am to be offered a letter of offer from Flinders University, Bachelor of Nutrition and Dieteics, until I found out that it was not easy for the Australians to qualify for the course as they needed to have a TOEFL score of about 98. (I'm sure if I am correct). Recently, I spoke to a coupleof students who is currently doing a Bachelor in Health Sciences, who are trying to see if they are able to make the switch to Nutrition and Dietetics, next year. Fortunately for my course, we only start to major in the dietetic field in the third ear. So, after hearing all the stories and "oh, you are so forunate!!", I begin to realise that, indeed, I 've made the right choice. In Singapore, you do not get this type of response but rather, its responses that puts you down, like,"why choose to do this field?"I guess, I can only leave it into God's hands and hope that this is his plan for me.

Just to fill u all in, on saturday (30 July'05),the smoke detector in our hostel went off due to the barbie (aka bbq) that the house commitee had. It took 3 fire trucks about 10-15mins to arrive to the scene. Can you imagine if there was a real fire and it took them that long to arrive, I believe, there would have been a number of casualties. Also, Phoebe and I have moved into a double room as we heard that there was a double room that was vacant. So, now, we have a fantastic view of the houses down below as well as a stretchde view of the sea/ocean. I'll try to take some pics..but I believe, it'd not be clear..Anyway, school's starting to get into the swing of things...There are more assignments..but fortunately for the uni system, we do not have quizzes scheduled at all..Thank God for that..So,I'll try to blog whenever I can..Till then, take care peeps!!To those working, happy working..To those studying, study hard!!!
