On tuesday afternoon when I returned to the office after my morning Diabetes clinic, I saw a sealed letter that read "pay advice" sitting on my desk! Without hesitation, I teared open the letter to see how much pay has been credited into my bank account.
When I saw the amount, I was
alittle alot bit disappointed. I worked so hard and my pay is so little. My colleague was nice to remind me that its only for the 3 weeks in Jan. So, I comforted myself and gave myself a pat on the back for having survived the first month of working life. Really, money earned is blood-sweat cash. You studied so hard and then spent the rest of your life working to pay off loans, personal maintenance etc. Having said that, if you recall a post that I posted couple of weeks back re what I'd do with my first pay, this is what I have done so far:
1) Set aside $700 to repay my monthly study loan 2) Set aside $300 for my savings 3) Give my family a treat4) Give soph, ainul a treat
5) Return my xiaomei $150 6) Make a new pair of glasses
7) Start driving lessons I have already signed up to take the theory test!
8) Sign for tap dancing classes
I'm so glad that my second pay is coming in another 2 weeks time as Jo is gonna be so broke soon! Anyway, here's wishing all a sparkling and prosperous new year!
